So, you like to work out and look as fit and healthy as possible? Hoping to attract one of the fit gym bunnies, so that you have a girlfriend that looks great and shares your interests? Then you need to upgrade your workout outfit!
If you look sloppy and unkempt, or if your gym kit is outdated and ill-fitting, then you simply won’t make a positive first impression. There’s no better time than right now to make a change!
The Challenge of Finding Fashion-Forward Work Out Clothes
If you want to avoid the obvious brands such as Nike and Adidas, and choose something that will help you to stand out from the crowd then you need to think outside of the box.
We appreciate that you don’t want to wear the same clothes to the gym everyday, and that different work out outfits will be better for different routines.
It’s important to update your gym look regularly to keep things fresh. With that in mind, here are five days of our go-to work out outfits perfect for the new season. Buy now, and look on-trend all year long:
Day One – Chest Day
- Rhone Crewneck Athletic Tee
- New Balance running shoes
- Nike Brasilia Medium Duffel Bag
- GYMSHARK ARK SHORTS
- APPLE WATCH SERIES 3
When choosing a t-shirt to work out in it can be tempting to choose something tight, so that you can show off the results of all that hard work you’ve been putting in.
However, your tee should be loose enough to enable you to move freely, without restricting your range of movements.
It should also be snug enough to give a feeling of tailored slickness, and not make it seem like you’re trying to hide something.
Chest day is the perfect time to break out a new fitted tee. More forgiving than a vest (which is best saved for arm day) the right t shirt will show off your physique and attract admiring glances for all the right reasons.
Day Two – Back Day
- Reebok navy track pants
- Champion reverse weave sweatshirt
- Ultraboost Running Shoe
- Tracksmith Leather trimmed backpack
Most men tend to use black or grey as their base colour for the gym. Why not stand out from the crowd without looking too try-hard in acid brights by experimenting with navy blue instead?
Navy has a more informal and casual feel than black, which makes it more suitable for loose and slouchy styles. Don’t wear these baggy styles to the gym everyday, but they are great for low key and low effort days where you don’t want to show off in stretch lycra!
Day Three – Leg Day
- NIKE TRAINING Metcon 3
- Underarmour White T-shirt
- Leg Workout Shorts
- Rehband Rx Knee Support 5mm
- Jaybird RUN True Wireless Headphones
If you don’t want to look top heavy and unbalanced then it’s important that you don’t skip leg day! The typical male body shape tends to be triangular, with men focusing on building up the shape and strength of their arm muscles and ignoring their legs.
If we’re being honest, many men ignore leg day because it’s hard work! Growing and working your leg muscles can be painful, and it’s important to take the time your muscles need to recover. Compression tights are also helpful to wear on leg day, as they will decrease any swelling and pressure in your legs as your work out.
Day Four – Arm Day
Everyone loves arm day! Working your triceps and biceps is usually one of the most popular days in the gym, because as you’re working up a sweat you can see almost immediate results. That means that there is no better day to wear a tank to the gym! Show off what you’ve got and watch each muscle as you flex and tone.
Pair your tank with a close fitting jogging pants. Short shorts paired with a tank top will show off too much flesh and may well make you look like an egotist (no matter how toned your body!)
Day Five – Shoulder Day
Don’t be afraid to inject a little luxury into your workout wardrobe; after all, its a great way to show off your fashion credentials if there’s a gym bunny you’re trying to impress. Accessories are a great way to do this: we love this duffel bag by Dolce and Gabbana.
Vintage and retro inspired sports styling are also incredibly popular this season, so if brands like Tracksmith aren’t already on your radar then they definitely should be! There are the brands that will really ensure you stand out from the crowd.
Whilst you don’t need to look fashionable to have a good work out, the right work out clothes can really make a difference to how happy and confident you are when you’re in the gym. If you feel good then you’ll look good, so don’t be afraid to experiment with different gym outfits until you find one your really love.
Show off your assets, and don’t be afraid to show off the results of your hard work in the gym. After all, why invest your time in sculpting the perfect body if you’re not going to put it on display?
