If you’re single, one thing is certain: picking a trip isn’t just about getting to know the place you’re visiting. It involves flirting with big time. After all, I’m sure no one fancies coming back from a trip totally scoreless, am I right? You never know…your soulmate could have picked the same destination as you.
So, my suggestion is: choose July and August (when it’s summer in Europe) to go to a beach – or more than one – located there. In order to help you out (and that’s precisely why I’m here), I’ve chosen five amazing beaches on the coast of Europe, which are the most sought-after destinations when it comes to meeting new and carefree people.
Check out my top list and enjoy your place in the sun.
St. Tropez (France)
This small French community, situated in Côte d’Azur, became very popular in the 50s, when Brigitte Bardot traveled there often for movie shootings. Soon after that, she decided to buy a house where she could have more privacy whenever she was staying in the picturesque fishing village.
But the thing was that the little village has gained notoriety ever since, and today, thousands of people (including Kate Moss, Beyonce and Jay Z, Rihanna and Leonardo DiCaprio) come from all corners of the world to spend vacation there. Some, by helicopter. Others parade their nice cars along the seashore. Oh, there are also the yachts, which, many many times, are bigger than the buildings on the promenade themselves.
Women are just gorgeous there and the parties last forever. It’s just the right pick if you’re the party kind of person. One of the most famous beaches there is the Pampelonne. It’s a 15-minute drive (I’m sure you’ll rent a car) from downtown.
If you’re into history (which I hope you are, after all, a trip like this isn’t all about flirting. Come on!), go to Vieille Ville. It’s the center of the city, which features narrow little streets and houses all painted the same color.
There you’ll find lots of restaurants, bars, shops, art galleries and, of course, beautiful people. You can also go (accompanied, ideally) to Citadelle, a fort built in the 16th century, whose city view is just incomparable. All in all, it is indeed worth visiting, and the best part is you won’t have to spend too much. Just browse over it.
Located on the east coast (one of the most sought-after destinations too), the island is famous everywhere. In any case, Ibiza is synonymous to parties and nights full of electronic music and gorgeous ladies. Soccer players, like Neymar, are there all the time.
You can also bump into Paris Hilton parading in the finest night clubs (Pacha, Space or Privilege). As you know, the best DJs pick the European summer to release new stuff in the electronic music world. So, if just like me you enjoy this kind of music, Ibiza is a no-brainer. Now, if electronic isn’t really your cup of tea, well…don’t bother.
But, during the day, you’ll also see lots of beautiful people. The over 50 beaches in Ibiza are always packed full. Yet, so you don’t waste any of your time, I suggest Playa d’en Bossa, Figueretes and San Antonio. They’re the most famous ones.
If you want to go sightseeing, go to Dalt Vila, the historical site in Ibiza. Go to a beach called Cala D’Hort. There you’ll catch one of the most incredible views of the island, especially from the Es Vedrá, a small island there. Well, what can I say? It pays off. Definitely.
It’s the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea located on the south coast of Italy. For that reason, you’d better stay at least 15 days. Naturally, if time is an issue for you spare 5 days on your schedule so that you can meet gorgeous women and enjoy the parties.
If you’re asking yourself where you can meet these women, go north on the island…specifically to Costa Smeralda. There, other than the most beautiful, rich and famous, these people always have a glass in hand.
Watching the sunset on Phi Beach can be crowded. Phi Beach is a quite modern club on the seashore located in Baja Sardinia. All places there are quite fancy (just like you’d expect in Italy). Visiting Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo is a hands-down choice. They’re nearby and a good spot for flirting in the middle of the afternoon.
If you’re into something wilder, more low-key, my suggestion is Corsega. There you’ll have breathtaking views. Take your time to contemplate it all and take thousands of pictures and selfies.
It’s just impossible to visit Greece and not go to Mykonos. The island, quite eclectic, is also known for its hyped up spots. All tribes of people go there and, especially in the summer, the clubs get packed with people looking for good music, and mainly, electronic music (I love going there and actually plan on returning soon).
The most famous (and bustling) beaches there are Super Paradise Beach and Paradise Beach. You’ll find the trendiest bars there, which get so crowded all summer long. A good pick is Tropicana Club. There’s party during the day at this club. It’s a good idea to get there early and enjoy the good music.
Chora, the heart of the island, is a must too. It’s a group of backstreets filled with white houses with colorful doors and lots of flowers. You know the style, if you’re used to watching Greek movies.
During my search, there hasn’t been one single person who’s said anything negative about this place. It’s just gorgeous. It’s got 30 thousand inhabitants and displays medieval walls that protect the historical sites.
If you’ve got some extra cash to splash (no matter how much), I suggest going to bars with private beaches. This way you can watch the babes around the place, and who knows? You could score a date! Walking along the walls is a great idea too, especially if by then you’ve got some company.
Most parties happen in the limits of the Old Town (inside the walls). The most famous bars are: Africa, Casablanca and Talir. The only thing is that they close at 3 in the morning at most. If you’re looking for a place to stay until the morning, you’d better leave the Old Town and head for the beaches.
There’s a club called Lazareti, near the beach in Ploče, which is considered the perfect club to listen to great music till the sun rises. You’ll also see warehouses facing the shoreline, and guess what? Lazareti is one of them. The best Croatian DJs get on their pickup trucks and play the electronic music that rocks in Europe.
Now, if you’re into something more along the lines of grunge, Orlando Klub is better, trust me. The club, which used to be a hospital, is open nearly every night in summertime. You’re certain to have loads of fun. And, there are gorgeous women there too.
Pick Out Your Beach Spot
The ball is in your court now! I really can’t say which one I like best. It’s worthwhile getting more info about each spot and making a nice itinerary. And, if that’s the case, try and visit more than one beach in the same trip. It’s time to let your hair down and enjoy single life on one of the heavenly beaches in Europe. July is just around the corner.
