Well, I have covered many topics in the blog like skincare, hair products and so on… but I am seeing the need to talk about a terror that has been tormenting men, the cracked lip.

There are many cheap chapstick brands in the market today, mostly seeing in gas stations, but the question is, are those the best alternative for your lips? We are going to find out about this now.

maxresdefault4 Grooming | http://www.royalfashionist.comYou should always carry a chapstick with you, but it is even more important during winter times because, like your body skin, it tends to get dry and get a “cracked” very easily.

Trust me, Girls Will Notice it: Being the only man in a family of two other sisters made me learn things that many men don’t know. One of those things is how to take care of my skin.

1 Grooming | http://www.royalfashionist.comWhen she sees you trying to kiss her with cracked lips.

Thankfully, I learned this lesson early and I was able to maintain a nice skin. It is true, the younger you start taking care of yourself, the best results you will have when you reach a certain older age.

I was always a believer of taking care of my skin including my lips. After years of trying different types of chapsticks, I can say with confidence that I have found the best ones to keep your lips looking reddish and healthy.

What to Look For:

Like in any skin product, there are some main ingredients and features you need to look for when a choosing for a good chapstick and they are:

Moisturizing Ingredients: You want to use a lip moisturizer that not just leaves an oily surface on your lips that will go away in couple minutes, but find a good chapstick that will improve the overall health of your lips.

Sunscreen: This is one of the most important factors when choosing a lip balm because like your face, your lip is very sensitive and the sun is one of the biggest reasons for that chapped lip look.

Fragrance: It is actually not easy to find a chapstick that doesn’t have a funny smell. If possible go odorless, but if not, go with mint/light fragrances that will not be stronger than your perfume.

Avoid glossy looks: Like I said, many chapsticks tend to leave a oily shiny finish when you put them on, but you can totally find ones that moist your lips without giving that look.

I always believed that all great things are made when you pay attention to details. So just like your outfit, hairstyle, etc your skin and specially lips needs to be in a great condition.

How often do you use a lip balm and do you go for the cheaper or the one with most quality?
