Are you sick and tired of Orlando and Miami? Here are some other amazing places you can visit in the USA. You won’t be sorry.
When it comes to traveling in the USA, lots of tourists, whether North American or not, end up picking the popular Miami and its incredible beaches and its neighbor Orlando, that promises great shopping around the many outlets scattered throughout the city.
But the US does not rely on these two cities alone, right? I’ve asked for the support of the professor Elisabeth Wada, master and doctoral coordinator in Hospitality of the University Anhembi Morumbi in São Paulo, and also the Brand USA Brasil team, a marketing public-private organization that’s responsible for promoting the US as a travel destination, so that I could list the 10 best North American cities for you to visit and post pictures of on Instagram. Check them out!
Hospitality and endless music
Known as the American capital of country music, Nashville offers lots of places for entertainment (mainly for tourists). Speaking of that, the most popular neighborhood is actually called Entertainment District, where you can find most of the city’s attractions.
One of them is the Country Hall of Fame and Museum. That’s right: a museum that is completely dedicated to the country music. It’s totally worth visiting, after all it means learning the music history of the city and also of the US.
And after appreciating the culture of the place and feeling like dancing, you should head to the Wildhorse Saloon. This dance venue relies on instructors that teach some steps so that you won’t be a disaster when the doors open for the public.
Attractions for all tastes
And do you want to know where these people meet up? Central Park. Considered to be the first public park in the US, there you have the options of self guided walking tours, bike renting, visiting historical sites, like the Belvedere Castle – a castle that dates back from 1865 that houses a great natural history collection.
Visit the zoo with 130 animal species. Besides dozens of sculptures spread throughout the park, like the bronze piece from 1959 that pays homage to the characters of Alice in Wonderland.
And speaking of culture, there’s the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the best art museums on the planet. There’s also the Moma (Museum Of Modern Art).

Night has come. Then you can expect things to liven up even more. And don’t forget the city offers places for all tribes. Mission, for example, is a hipster and latin area. Castro, in turn, is the neighborhood that concentrates the LGBT community, and the atmosphere is just party.
Enjoy the hippies? Then you must visit Haight-Ashbury. North Beach is, traditionally, an Italian district, while Chinatown is where Asian descendants live. To put it simply, there no such thing as no fun.
Nightlife, music and lots of outdoor attractions
Founded by French explorers, this city in the state of Louisiana is located in the south of the Pontchartrain Lake and is considered to be a very unique and enticing place, as well as one of the best touristic destinations in the US.
I suggest to, first of all, stop by the French Quarter, the cultural and artistic center of the city. That’s where the so-called Bourbon Street is located, a place where you can take the best of what the night has to offer.
And when dawn breaks, pick a walk along the Royal, Chartres and Conti Streets. They are packed with very good stores and restaurants, like the Antonie’s, one of the oldest there.

If you’re unafraid of heights, I recommend running to the top of the Prudential Building and visiting the Skywalk Observatory. Open from 10am to 8pm in winter, and from 10am to 10pm in summer, you can see the whole city from the top and savor a beautiful dusk.
Sun and sea

For sports fans, the Hike and Bike Trail is a great choice. The walking and bike trails sit on the bank of the Colorado river and present a dazzling view.
Every day from April to October (with its peak in August), the little things come out to eat when night falls. You can enjoy their going from over the bridge and from the banks of the river.
Passion for sport
You should go there at night to see the entire city. With its amazing colors and, who knows, you can even stumble upon some firework display.
Another very interesting visit is to the Senator John Heinz History Center. It’s nothing less than the museum of Pennsylvania, and it tells the history of the brand Heinz along with objects and decorations that refer to each of the times, like cars, snack bars and so on.
